I've just completed my first year of graduate studies at the
University of Texas at Austin
. I'm a Ph.D. student in the
Department of Computer Sciences
. I received my B.S. from
Southwestern University
in Georgetown, Texas, where I majored in Computer Science, Math and German.
I am currently doing research under
Risto Miikkulainen
of the
Neural Networks Research Group
on the application of Neuroevolution to board games, specifically
Othello/Reversi
.
I am also a member of
Phi Beta Kappa
, and am the webmaster for the
Student Chapter's Website
here at UT.
For the first part of the summer I'm working at
International Studies Abroad
programming administrative webtools in PHP with lots of SQL. For the second part of the summer I'll be teaching English in Germany at the
Sommerschule Wust
.
