The past tests and review sheets here are available for review purposes. They should help you prepare for the exams and the final. However, the material covered in past exams does NOT match up exactly with the material that will be covered in this year's exams. See details in the commentary column below.

However, be warned that when relation composition is used in this test, it is a different definition than what we have learned from the book in this class ... you have to swap the order of the two relations being composed. This issue affects problems G.1 and G.2.

Final, Fall 2013 Final Final Answers Our final will be similar to this one, but we will not cover order relations at all this semester. Specifically, you can ignore problems B.2 and F.1. Also, there is a mistake in problem E.4: This problem asks for a specific equivalence class on a relation that is not an equivalence relation. Technically, equivalence classes are ONLY defined on equivalence relations, so this is an inappropriate question to ask.

In particular, she has some exam review materials along with solutions, and also a sample exam. However, keep in mind that her example proofs use a style less formal than will be expected of you in this class.
