The Third Year PhD Student
Department of Computer Sciences, The University of Texas at Austin

Email: shan AT cs DOT utexas DOT edu

I received my Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science from Nanjing University, P.R. China in 2003. I received my Master of Philosophy degree also in Computer Science from City University of Hong Kong in 2006. I was mainly working on sampling and scheduling technologies in wireless sensor networks and was advised by Prof. Kam-yiu Lam and Prof. Edward Chan. Currently I am a member of the Real-Time System Group in the University of Texas at Austin. I am working with Prof. Aloysius K. Mok on real-time system scheduling and industrial wireless mesh network management.

I was TA for these Courses:

CS303e Elements of Computers and Programming: Python, Spring 2009

CS372 Operating Systems, Fall 2008

CS372h Operating Systems (Honor), Spring 2008

CS327e Database Systems, Fall 2007
