When I tell my granddaughter that
Grad school is no cakewalk; it is
Akin to the trecherous journey to the North Pole, on which
One snowstorm is all it takes to extinguish hope, but
Your grandfather weathered every blighted blizzard that came his way...
And my granddaughter, giggling, suggests I am joking,
I will show her this picture, which Brad Knox took.
