Hello, I'm Yair Nieto and I'm a 3rd year undergraduate student at the University of Texas at Austin. I'm currently studying to get my bachelor's degree in computer science, along with a game development certificate, information security certificate, mobile computing certificate, and a minor in business foundations. In addition to my education, I'm part of the Hispanic Association of Computer Scientists, Association for Computing Machinery, and a TA for Mobile App Development's Android Workshops. In my spare time I participate in intermural sports such as soccer, volleyball, and basketball. My hobbies, apart from coding, include working out, playing spots, hackathons, and making YouTube videos.

The purpose of TIP Mentors is to provide support through training on key concepts for freshman success and social opportunities for freshmen accepted to the Texas Interdisciplinary Plan (TIP) Scholars program. TIP Scholars are particularly motivated students who have enthusiastically pursued a focused interest in their high school studies and, frequently, have overcome a variety of obstacles in their environments. They may find the transition from high school to university learning a difficult challenge without experienced support. As accomplished students, TIP Mentors support TIP scholars with their academic and social adjustments to University life.

This is more of a hobby, but I make short YouTube videos on my channel. The purpose of this is to just share and have them as memories. Currently, the videos are just recaps of my month.
A puzzle game that has a backtracking algorithm that randomly generates a maze for the user to solve it. This app involved working with splash screens, menu bars, animations, saving the user’s preferences, and fragments.Mobile Development
The whole point of the game is to mix the primary colors to match a random color produced by the randomly picking the primary color values. The difficulty is based on a range, the harder the closer the user must be to the actual RGB configuration.Mobile Development
This video involves being at the university almost every day, and when there is free time, having fun. This month involved a interviews with different tech companies, visiting on sight some tech companies, and more are yet to come. I could not record much inside, due to the companies' projects, but I got what I could. For those who noticed, yes, I got to meet Kevjumba.Content Creation
In addition to keeping up with my coding major, I happen to squeeze some time for friends, intramurals, football games, and events. In this month, studying for exams, HackTX 2017, volleyball intermural games, the Red River Rivalry, and a very elaborate surprise party went down.Content Creation
