03/26/2017 - Hello dear reader! If you're a college student reading this, you probably don't realize, or even care for that matter, that for high school seniors, the deadline for college decisions is quickly coming up. And with that, all my younger friends are calling me up for advice on all things college. 10/18/2016 - The second round of midterms are almost upon us and everything seems to be getting harder and harder. More homework, more projects, more obligations, it just keeps snowballing. It's barely two months in and I'm having to research classes for next semester and sign a lease on an apartment, and I barely know what a lease is. Just for reference, my color coded calendar, which I made at the beginning of the semester to be more efficient and productive, looks like a rainbow threw up on it. Read more
09/07/2016 - I moved to Texas from California when I was in the sixth grade. And when I say moved, I really mean dragged, kicking and screaming. It wasn't a fun time. For fear of death threats, I won't say I hated Texas, but I really didn't love it either. Whenever I tell people I'm from California, they without fail ask me which I like better, California or Texas. For years I, without fail, replied the former. It was the only life I had known, of course I was attached to it. I was convinced I wanted to go to college in California, too. Read more
09/09/2014 - My roommate and I have a tradition. We’re both computer science and math double majors, and we like to convert everyone we see who displays even the slightest interest in either of those fields to our path. Usually, this means finding engineers who enjoy solving the kinds of problems given at UIL competitions, or biologists who display a knack for linear algebra, and so on. Read more
