Dr. Ball has been a member of the UT-Austin mechanical engineering faculty since 1989. His teaching and research interests include computational fluid dynamics and heat transfer; hydrodynamical stability, transition and turbulence; chaos and dynamical systems theory; radiation heat transfer in participating media; buoyancy induced flows and transport phenomena; and numerical flow visualization.
