Irfan Hussain

Irfan serves as chief operating and strategy officer for Engineering for Goldman Sachs. In this role, he partners with leadership across the firm to define and advance the engineering strategy and deliver best-in-class technology solutions to our clients. Irfan is co-chair of the Firmwide New Activity Committee and a member of the Global Diversity and Inclusion Committee and Firmwide Technology Risk Committee. Previously, he served as the chief information officer for Consumer and Wealth Management. Prior to that, he held various positions at the firm in New York, Tokyo and Hong Kong in the Global Markets, Asset Management and Consumer and Wealth Management divisions. Irfan joined Goldman Sachs in 1995 as an analyst in Foreign Exchange Technology in New York and was named managing director in 2006 and partner in 2014.

Irfan serves on the Board of Trustees of the Horace Mann School and on the board of the Japan Society, a nonprofit formed in 1907 to promote cultural and business relationships between the United States and Japan.

Irfan earned a BS in Computer Science from the University of Texas at Austin.
