IMACS2005: 17th IMACS World Congress (50th Anniversary of IMACS/AICA)
The 2005 World Congress will coincide with the 50th Anniversary of the Association. IMACS was founded in Brussels in 1955 as AICA, the International Association for Analogue Computation; changing the name from AICA to IMACS took place in 1976 to reflect the change in the technology and practice of scientific computation that had taken place in the intervening years.
