Responsibilities:
In this position, you will be part of the Mobile Platform Simulation team in Bangalore, India. You will work to develop a Notebook (NB) Platform Simulation environment for Intel® Centrino(TM) mobile technology notebooks which will enable architects to design optimal system and components architecture, and to do correct power and performance tradeoffs when designing next generation NB platforms.
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a Master's/Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with knowledge of CPU and PC system architecture. Additional qualifications include:
- Strong ability to translate micro-architecture specifications for PC platform components like graphics hardware, CPU, memory controller, and others into the platform simulation environment
- Detailed knowledge and high degree of expertise in cycle-accurate performance simulation technology is an absolute necessity
- A very strong computer architecture background and substantial micro- architecture design experience for general purpose and/or graphics processors
- Knowledge of power modeling methodologies and techniques at the micro- architectural level is a big plus
- Ability to take initiative, be innovative and have excellent interpersonal skills
- Technical independence and excellent result orientation skills are a must
- In-depth expertise with industry standard systems like SystemC is a huge plus
- Understanding of PC performance measurement and PC benchmarking as well as PC thermals and power dissipation would be very useful
- Programming skill in C/C++ is very much desired
