Re-gridding and Clustering

• Re-gridding Process
  • Cluster the flagged points.
  • Cover each cluster with a rectangle (cube)
• Clustering Criteria
  • The area (volume) of refinement should be as small as possible.
  • There should be as few clusters as possible.
• Efficiency of clustering = Ratio of flagged points to the total number of coarse grid points in a new rectangle (cube).
