Tests |
- There will be three tests.
- Check the tests dates in the class schedule.
- The solution to the tests will not be provided.
- The grades of the tests will be posted within one week of the dates of the tests.
- The grader will not return the test, but will make it available for review during office hours.
- If you do not return the test, you will receive a zero.

Assignments |
- There will be regular homework assignments throughout the semester.
- The assignments will be posted on Canvas on Tuesday or Thursday and will be due within a week (unless otherwise specified).
- Please submit your homework using Canvas' assignments page.
- The Assignment should be typed in using a text editor such as LaTex or MS-Word and uploaded to Canvas as a PDF file.
- Handwritten assignments and/or late submissions will not be accepted.
- After submitting your assignment, make sure that your submission has been properly uploaded.
- The solution to the assignments will not be posted.
- The rubrics of the assignments are preliminary and subject to change.

Quizzes |
- There will be regular quizzes throughout the semester.
- Quizzes will be and must be taken in-class. We may have more than one quiz per class. The first one is at the beginning of the class.
- Quizzes are closed book, closed notes. No internet access other than to your Canvas quiz page, no chatting, no texting.
- The purpose of the daily quizzes is to ensure students read class material and to take attendance.
- Each quiz may cover the material of the previous classes and/or the current class and the assigned readings.
- There will be no make up quizzes for any reason.
- The lowest 4 quizzes scores will be dropped.
- If you take the quiz and leave or don't answer when calling your name for participation, I'll give you a zero for the quiz.

Extra Credit |
A student can earn 0.5 pt for filling out the class evaluation at the end of the term. I highly encourage you to take advantage of this extra credit.
