1. Rational Rose is not
supported on Windows XP - Home Edition
Solution: No
solution
yet, will be posted as soon as available. Rational
Rose works fine on Windows XP - Professional Edition (available at the
campus store). You can also use Rose on the Painter
Microlab machines (
get Microlab user
accounts).
2. The
Data Modeler is not
visible in Rational Rose
OR
you cannot see "Transform to Data Model"
Solution 1.: Make sure all classes are INSIDE a
logical package (logical view -->new package. then drag-drop all
classes to that package. Right click on package --> data modeler
-->Transform to data model).
Solution 2: Please
follow
these steps to solve the problem:
- Install
Microsoft .NET framework 1.1
- Uninstall Rational Rose.
- Reinstall
Rational Rose
- The Data Modeler should now be visible.
