End-to-end performance models of complex parallel and
distributed systems including applications, runtime software
and hardware.
Goal - Peformance evaluation to be accomplished
at 10% of the cost of prototyping the total system and in advance
of availability of hardware.
Technical Problems
* Multiple semantic domains - applications, operating systems
and hardware systems
* Multiple levels of resolution of models
* Multiple methods for evaluation of model components
