Peter Stone began studying violin at the age of 4 in Buffalo, NY
as a part of the Buffalo Suzuki Strings under the direction of Mary
Cay Neal.  While in middle school and high school he played in three
multi-week concert tours of Europe, including as a soloist in Russia
and Hungary in 1989.  In college, he played in the University of
Chicago Symphony and Chamber Orchestras, serving occasionally as
principal 2nd, concertmaster, and soloist.  While living in Pittsburgh
from 1993-1999, he performed with the Westmoreland and Youngstown
Symphony Orchestras as well as the Carnegie Mellon Philharmonic.
Under the direction of Juan Pablo Izquierdo, he performed concerts
with the Philharmonic in the Kennedy Center in Washington, Carnegie
Hall in New York, and Symphony Hall in Boston.  From 2002-2007 he
performed with the University of Texas Symphony Orchestra under the
direction of Kevin Noe, David Nealy, and Gerhard Zimmermann.
