1. A Pioneer and Their Impact: Vint Cerf and Bob Kahn. How did TCP/IP make it possible to connect separate networks into one internet?
2. A Foundational Technology or Algorithm: Packet switching and TCP congestion control. Why breaking data into "packets" and adjusting their send rates keeps a network actually usable.
3. A Current Trend or Frontier: QUIC and HTTP/3. How this new transport protocol reduces connection latency and avoids this problem called "head-of-line blocking".
