Performing Borodin's Symphony No. 2

Welcome to the blog of Zile Zhu

Welcome to the blog!

Although I would like to start the story with me, I believe it is better to introduce the composer of this piece, Alexander Borodin.

Story of how we got here. October 14, 2021

It was quite hard focusing on the music tonight. We were sight-reading Borodin’s Symphony No. 2, but this time it was with the entire orchestra instead of splitting into sections. The rehearsal felt very short and very long at the same time. “If you will be graduating this semester, please stand.” A wave of applause. Some final goodbyes. I’ve only been in the orchestra for around two months, and I was just beginning to get acquainted with some members in the orchestra.
