Katie Genter Welcome! I'm a 3rd year Computer Science PhD student at the University of Texas at Austin. Before coming to Texas, I received a bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Georgia Tech in May 2009.

I'm currently working with Peter Stone's Learning Agents Research Group (LARG). I'm involved with LARG's Standard Platform group on the Austin Villa Robot Soccer Team, which finished tied for 5th in the world at Robocup 2011 in Turkey and placed 3rd at RoboCup 2010 in Singapore. I'm also working on a multiagent systems problem - we call it ad hoc teamwork - in which teammates must work together to obtain a common goal, but without any prior agreement regarding how to work together.

I'm also on the GradFest committee, which helps recruit new PhD computer science students to the University of Texas at Austin.
