4/16/06 The NIL proctor noticed that some students have signed up for multiple time slots for the upcoming NIL lab. If you are one of these, please remove your name from the timeslots that you will not be attending, ASAP; otherwise, you will not get credit for NIL. Additionally, if you find yourself to be the only person in a particular time slot by 6 p.m. on Monday, please find a classmate to join you or sign up for another time slot. It will be more difficult for you to do the lab assignment without another student in the lab.

4/12/06 Sign up for a NIL lab session asap. You should sign up for one session by the deadline of 4/17 Mon 6 p.m. (Do not sign up for more than one session. Signing up late is okay so long as there is a vacant slot.)
4/10/06 There will be six NIL lab sessions: 4/18 Tue (10 am-noon), 4/20 Thurs (5-7 pm), 4/21 Fri (1-3 pm and 3-5 pm), 4/24 Mon (1-3 pm and 5-7 pm). The sign-up page will be posted in a couple of days. You will be required to sign up for one session by the deadline of 4/17 Mon 6 p.m.
4/6/06 Two new slides added at the end of chap5a4.pdf (slides 69 and 70 were recently added); a few minor revisions elsewhere, but these are not important.
4/5/06 A student asked for an extension of tonite's programming deadline. I offer the following extension with a point reduction to all students: The program assignment is normally graded on a 4 point scale. An extension is granted for up to 24 hours (to Thurs 11 p.m.) with the point count reduced by 1 to a maximum of 3 points.
