Overview

In order to test the hypothesis, We plan to do the following

1.

Identify the primary factors that affect the use of encryption in a personal environment,

2.

Identify performance metrics that is of concern to an application developer in a personal environment,

3.

Provide an experimental framework to precisely quantify the effect of the factors on these metrics,

4.

Use the experimental framework to prove the hypothesis or refute it by identifying and characterizing a range of applications and environment where it fails or holds.
