The PLAPACK project attempts to provide an infrastructure that allows a user to quickly implement new algorithms in a fashion that reflects how the algorithm is naturally explained. We believe this supports rapid and robust development of new parallel implementations of dense linear algebra algorithms. Initial performance results indicate that this can be achieved without sacrificing performance. For more information regarding the PLAPACK project, check our web page http://www.cs.utexas.edu/users/plapack/. In particular, further performance results are available at that site.
