Machine learning is the study of adaptive computational systems that improve their performance with experience.

The Machine Learning Research Group at UT Austin is led by Professor Raymond Mooney, and our research has explored a wide variety of issues in machine learning for over two decades. Our current research focuses primarily on natural language learning, statistical relational learning, transfer learning, and active learning.
