How can I disable the departmental spam filtering for my UTCS email address?

All you need to do is create a file ~/.mailboxrc with the line deliver-spam: yes

If you are turning off the spam filter because you have found it to be making mistakes (either false positive or false negative), please tell gripe [at] cs [dot] utexas [dot] edu --we want to know! Also note that forwarding your mail offsite will automatically exempt you from the spam filter.
