Considered a pioneer of minimal & conceptual art, Sol LeWitt referred to his art as structures and not sculptures. The concept generated the art, not necessarily the artist’s hands. Compared to a classical composer that created a composition to be performed by many orchestras at different times and places. Now, on the University of Texas campus, the Landmarks Public Art program has realized two LeWitt installations: “Circle with Towers” & “Wall Drawing #520.”
