Texas Computer Science Summer Academies

The University of Texas at Austin Department of Computer Science offers four very distinct summer camps for high school students. These camps offer a unique hands on experience in learning computer science.

Application-Based Academies

  • Academy for Women

    The 2021 Academies for Women are free, one-week programs for high school women - for rising sophomores, juniors and seniors. The academies are designed to dispel myths about computer science and intrigue young women with the potential of computing and the excitement of problem solving. The academies includes team-building activities, educational sessions, and recreation. You must be a Texas resident to apply.

  • Academy for All

    The 2021 Academies for All are free, one-week programs for high school underrepresented populations (African-American, Latino and Native American students). They are designed to dispel myths about computer science, intrigue students with the potential of computing and the excitement of problem solving. The academies includes team-building activities, educational sessions, and recreation. You must be a Texas resident to apply.

Tuition-Based Academies

  • Academy for Cybersecurity

    The Academy for Cybersecurity is a one-week camp program for high school students in 9-12 grades. Here you'll learn about real-world security and privacy. This is a hands-on academy that will use real-world tools and techniques to understand the vulnerabilities and countermeasures for current security and privacy exposures.

  • Academy for Robotics

    The Robotics Academy is a one-week program for high school students in 9-12 grades designed to immerse students in the world of robotics and computer science and excite them about the potential and power of computing. The academy provides a chance for students to interact with faculty and industry partners and an opportunity to meet with admissions and learn about applying to UT.
