Professor Lili Qiu and her Ph.D. student Mubashir Qureshi, in collaboration with researchers from AT&T, won the best paper award at the 2017 Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) International Conference on Network Protocols for their paper “Coordinating Rolling Software Upgrades for Cellular Networks.” The conference, which was held October 10-13 this year, focuses on aspects of network protocols such as design, analysis, performance and more.
